Fish have evolved to have different types of mouths depending on what their diet is and how they feed. The four types of mouth found in fishes –

  • Terminal mouth: Rohu fish
    • Superior mouth: Catla carp
    • Inferior mouth: Mrigel carp
  • Ventral mouth: Sharks
  • Protrusible: Hogfish
