According to FAO (1989), four edible oysters are available in Cox’s Bazar, Moheshkhali, and Teknaf which are-

  1. Crassostrea Madrasonsis
  2. Crassostrea belcheri
  3. Crassostrea gruphoides
  4. Saccostrea cuccullata
